Convention Rules
- Costumes will be checked by NJCON Staff for security and safety purposes. All 20th century and later costumes or uniforms are prohibited from the convention, without express permission. Uniforms of attendees currently on active police or military duty are exempt, assuming they are properly attired. There are NO weapons or weapon props of any sort permitted on site, with the exception of active police or military personnel in accordance with the rules of the base.
- Selling of any kind is restricted to NJCON authorized Dealers and Flea Marketeers. Weapons and weapon replicas MAY NOT BE SOLD PERIOD and will be grounds for removal from the convention WITHOUT refund, and may lead to the involvement of local law enforcement and or military law enforcement as applicable.
- Malicious breaking of any games, convention or facility rules, rowdiness, or failure to conduct oneself in a mature manner will be grounds for removal from the convention WITHOUT refund.
- Breaking any law, including but not limited to stealing, harassment, assault or public drunkenness will be grounds for removal from the convention WITHOUT refund, and may lead to the involvement of local law enforcement.
- NJCON is a smoke-free convention. There is no smoking allowed in any of the inside convention areas.
- There are no drugs or alcohol allowed at the convention.
- Selling of any food or beverages at the facility will be solely handled by the on site military personnel for the purpose of their morale fund.
- All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under 18 must have a designated adult or chaperone attending the convention and on site.
- NJCON reserves the right to deny admission to any person and/or remove anyone from the convention without refund for ANY reason.
- Any violation of law is committed on federal property and will be handled before the US District Court for New Jersey. A U.S. Magistrate hears all cases, including moving violations. Sentences for criminal acts is 85% of mandatory minimum in jail.
- Rules are subject to change at the discretion of staff.
